Art history in Oregon, IL

Oregon, IL has a rich art history.  In the late 1800s and early 1900s Oregon, IL was the home of an art colony where famous men and women visited, among them, Loredo Taft and Margaret Fuller.  Some of the art colony can be seen by visiting Lowden State Park.  Art from the art colony has been distributed throughout the world, but an art gallery showcasing works from the art colony is available for viewing at Oregon Public Carnegie Library.
